On November 4, 2025, the official groundbreaking ceremony for the “Graue Flecken” expansion project took place in the municipality of Blaufelden in the Schwäbisch Hall district under bright sunshine. Together with representatives of our client, the Breitband Landkreis Schwäbisch Hall Special-Purpose Association, as well as representatives from the municipality of Blaufelden, the construction contractor Furkan Bau GmbH, NetCom BW, and PWC, we had the honor of marking the symbolic start of the upcoming construction work. The planned civil engineering work includes approximately 44 km of civil engineering and approximately 13 km of cable pulling into existing empty conduits. To serve the approximately 800 buildings eligible for connection, 74 network distribution boxes will be installed, most of which will be connected to the POP buildings erected during the previous “White Spots” expansion. A new concrete POP—required as an addition for the “Gray Spots” expansion—was already installed in September.

Following the reception hosted by the municipality of Blaufelden, the project participants took the opportunity to engage in a constructive discussion on topics related to broadband expansion in the municipality of Blaufelden. Following the successful completion of the “white spot” expansion just under a year ago, we are proud to continue supporting the municipality of Blaufelden in this forward-looking project and look forward to our ongoing, fruitful collaboration.
