Since 2020, several major subprojects have been launched and are being carried out in the Schwarzwald-Baar district.
These projects, carried out in collaboration with theSchwarzwald-Baar Broadband Association, contribute to the expansion of the fiber-optic infrastructure and improve digital connectivity in the region.
The Locations
The subprojects are spread across various towns in the Schwarzwald-Baar district. The locations include:
- Triberg
- Donaueschingen
- Villingen-Schwenningen
- St. Georgen
- Schönwald
- Hüfingen
- Niedereschach
- Königsfeld
- Vöhrenbach
- Dauchingen
- Furtwangen
- Obereschach
- Mönchweiler
- Bad Dürrheim
Our dedicated team of 19 employees from various MRK branches—including Munich, Tirana (Albania), Cologne, Nuremberg, and Stuttgart—is working tirelessly on these projects.
The Current Status
The plans to date include the following key figures:
- 850 km of structural planning: Comprehensive structural plans were drawn up for a total length of 850 kilometers.
- 468 km of construction plans: Construction plans, which include detailed construction and implementation steps, cover 468 kilometers.
- 312 APLs: A total of 10,312 access lines (APL) were planned, and some have already been implemented.
