Client: Federal Environment Agency (UBA), Dessau-Roßlau

On behalf of the Federal Environment Agency, MRK developed a concept to promote sustainable mobility at UEFA EURO 2024 in Germany. The concept was based on a literature review and an analysis of major European sporting events over the past 17 years. The analysis was organized according to traffic volume, stakeholder groups, time frame, and modes of transportation (bicycles, walking, public transit, private motorized transport, electric mobility, and infrastructure). The results included recommendations for action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the transportation sector surrounding the tournament.
