Since 2019, MRK Media AG has been supporting e.discom Telekommunikation GmbH in implementing the government-funded broadband expansion in Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

The goal is to improve broadband coverage in underserved areas using a fiber-optic network infrastructure (FTTB/H) and, in particular, to close existing coverage gaps in commercial and residential areas in a sustainable and comprehensive manner.

Through several competitive bids, MRK Media AG was awarded contracts for specific areas in Märkisch Oderland, Uckermark, and Vorpommern-Greifswald, and will be responsible for the following tasks:

– Permitting Planning
– Construction Planning
– Construction Supervision
– Surveying and Documentation

During the planning phase, the preliminary design (structural plan) provided by e.discom is reviewed, adapted to the site conditions, and optimized. The proprietary software PlaNet is used for this purpose.

During the construction phase, MRK Media AG will oversee construction and surveying and ensure high-quality monitoring and inspection of the construction work.
