MRK was commissioned to design a computer-aided operations control system for Bayerische Oberlandbahn and Bayerische Regionalbahn, to draw up the specifications and to carry out the test operation and acceptance.

The challenge during implementation was to implement a multi-client-capable AVLC for a regional rail transport company and also to meet the requirements for the non-discriminatory transfer of real-time data to Bayerische Eisenbahngesellschaft. As project manager, MRK is monitoring the implementation of the supplier that won the tender right through to acceptance.

To measure the costs and estimate the potential return on investment, MRK created a calculation tool that can be used to evaluate various scenarios for the inclusion of clients.
