The deployment planning of the train crew of a regional rail transport company was subject to major changes, which brought with them new work processes. It is important for the efficiency of personnel planning to what extent the employees have completed the adaptation process and in particular use the new planning tools (software) correctly and efficiently.
The aim of the project was to analyze the planning processes and to define and optimize the respective areas of responsibility or action in order to ensure efficient personnel planning and the effective use of planning tools. The task of the MRK includes the process restructuring, taking into account the applicable working time guidelines and company agreements, as well as the detailed documentation within a process guideline, including the drafting of the associated service regulations.
