Client: Municipality of Hohberg
For the municipality of Hohberg, with a population of approximately 8,500, we are developing a comprehensive municipal heating plan that lays the foundation for a sustainable, climate-friendly, and cost-effective heating supply.
At the start of the project, a detailed analysis of the existing heating infrastructure and local building structures was conducted. To this end, extensive data on energy density, current heating demand, and structural conditions were systematically collected and evaluated. Based on this data, reliable projections of future heating demand were developed.
In addition, we develop innovative scenarios for improving efficiency and decarbonization. We place particular emphasis on optimizing and potentially expanding the existing district heating network, as well as on the use of modern, renewable technologies such as geothermal energy, solar thermal energy, and heat pumps. A detailed economic assessment ensures that the proposed measures are both environmentally sound and financially viable.
Thanks to close collaboration with local stakeholders, a high level of transparency is achieved, which contributes significantly to public acceptance and support—a crucial factor for the long-term success of municipal heat planning in Hohberg.
