In order to modernize its sales department, an operating company is planning to introduce a multifunctional electronic fare management system based on chip cards and cell phones. As part of the preparatory work, MRK drew up a technical system concept and a financing concept, including the funding application.

The work comprises the following sub-steps:

1. feasibility
2. rough concept
3. determination of the financing model
4. determination of the savings potential
5. funding application / application negotiations

The result was a technical, economic and organizational concept, a financing calculation and a funding application to the BMVBS. In particular, MRK provided support in the implementation of the innovative multifunctionality approach in coordination with multifunctional partners (e.g. municipal utilities).
