Between 2017 and 2020, MRK Media AG, acting as a general contractor, contributed to broadband deployment in a large number of individual expansion areas throughout southern Germany. In these projects, multifunctional cabinets—located no more than 550 meters from the respective service point—were connected to the fiber-optic network. This enables download speeds of up to 250 Mbit/s through Super Vectoring. As the general contractor, MRK Media AG is responsible for both the permitting and technical planning, as well as for construction and the technical commissioning of the system.
