Transport network Luxembourg

On the basis of the “Master plan for the sustainable development of telematics in the context of public transport for the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg” agreed with the Ministry of Sustainability and Infrastructure (MDDI), MRK is drawing up the concept, the specifications, the documents for the invitation to tender and the award of the contract for a regional AVL for 1,000 buses, passenger information systems (FIA) and the modernization of the existing e-ticketing system.

The project focuses on the central information hub to which the regional bus companies of the RGTR and TICE as well as the municipal transport company AVL and the rail company CLF will be connected. In future, the central information hub will also be used to exchange information with other platforms (such as private transport) and neighboring countries – with the aim of positively changing the modal split towards public transport, especially in view of the high commuter flows.
