The client requires the restructuring of personnel deployment planning at regional locations in order to guarantee the availability and flexibility of personnel. The aim of the project is to create standardized planning processes that can be transferred to other regional locations and include the optimal utilization of different available employees. MRK was commissioned with the process recording, analysis and optimization of duty scheduling in compliance with the applicable work regulations.

The reorganization of shift planning based on location and working hours led to an increase in the flexible deployment of personnel within the framework of a travel-shortening duty rota plan using reserve personnel. The restructuring of the planning process was documented in procedural instructions; in addition, a tool was developed to enable users to independently optimize the planning process in the future.
