In the greater Hamburg area, the existing copper cable network was overhauled and supplemented with fiber optics. The expansion was carried out using 3,200 newly installed multifunctional cabinets (M.F.G. – transfer station of the fiber optic network to private households) and around 250 km of newly dug longitudinal roads (laying the empty conduits and the fiber optic cable). Our assignment included overall project planning, coordination of the companies involved in the project and management of the authorities and energy supply companies.
