In the presence of Saxony’s Minister of State for Economic Affairs, Labor, and Transportation, the District Administrator of the Erzgebirge District, numerous local government representatives, and representatives of the operator, the official groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion of the “Weiße Flecken” in the first three clusters took place. At the festival grounds in the municipality of Niederdorf, participants symbolically laid their hands on the shovels, and numerous speakers offered words of welcome and wished the project every success. The children from the local kindergarten were also invited to help and were highlighted as future beneficiaries of broadband Internet.
