In September 2024, we celebrated a special milestone in MRK’s more than 50-year history: the 10th anniversary of our branches in Saxony. Employees, business partners, and guests gathered in the elegant rooms of the Cosel Palace to look back together on a successful decade.

In his opening remarks, our CEO highlighted our team’s outstanding achievements and recalled our exciting beginnings in 2014. “We had to take the plunge,” he said, quoting State Secretary Barbara Meyer, whose words left a lasting impression at our opening ceremony back then. Today, we can proudly say that the Dresden branch has come of age.

Special guests such as Oliver Schenk (Member of the European Parliament) and Ingo Flemming (MDL, Chairman of MIT Dresden) honored us with their presence. In his welcoming remarks, Mr. Schenk emphasized the importance of MRK to the regional economy and the innovative strength that defines our company.

Not only Dresden, but also our Leipzig location and the 5G business park in Torgau are continuously evolving. The launch of our own 5G network at the Torgau location demonstrates that we remain technological pioneers. Our activities in research and development, as well as our participation in international projects—such as those in São Paulo and in EU research projects—demonstrate our commitment beyond Germany’s borders.

Together, we look back on ten years full of challenges and successes—and we look forward to embarking on the future.
