This project aims to improve current broadband coverage in underserved areas of the county through a fiber-optic network infrastructure (FTTB/H) and, in particular, to close existing coverage gaps in commercial and residential areas in a sustainable and comprehensive manner. As part of the broadband expansion, approximately 16,000 buildings will be connected to the fiber-optic network through 1,400 kilometers of underground construction.

In this context, MRK Media AG will perform the following tasks:

As part of this project to expand the fiber-optic network infrastructure (FTTB/H) in the Uelzen district, MRK Media AG is primarily responsible for HOAI service phases 4–9 pertaining to

• Permit Planning
• Detailed design,
• Preparation for the awarding of construction contracts,
• Support and coordination of the procurement process,
• Project supervision (overall construction management and on-site construction supervision) and
• Property Management,

as well as managing the project through the phases mentioned above.
